Chemical battles

On November 4-5, 2018, the VII Kirov (Open) Tournament of Young Chemists concluded. It was held at the Center for Additional Education of Gifted Schoolchildren with the support of the Kirov branch of "AVVA RUS".

The Tournament of Young Chemists is a competition for school students aimed at developing the necessary skills to solve complex chemical problems (scientific problems), convincingly present their solutions, and defend them in scientific discussions - chemical battles.

Tournament Participants

Six teams from schools in the city of Kirov participated in the tournament. The students competed in their ability to solve complex chemical problems (scientific issues), convincingly present their solutions in the form of a scientific report, and defend them in discussions with other participants and jury members.

Active members of the jury included Alexey Stoilov, Head of the Quality Control Department, and Roman Selezenev, Qualification Specialist of the Quality Control Department at "AVVA RUS" company. "AVVA RUS"'s interest in this tournament is not accidental; the company is one of the leaders in the pharmaceutical and chemical industry of the Kirov region and is interested in nurturing future personnel for chemical production, as well as popularizing chemistry as a scientific discipline among the youth of the Kirov region.

We congratulate the winners of the VII Kirov (Open) Tournament of Young Chemists. The winner of the tournament was the "Carp-cation" team from the Lyceum of Natural Sciences.
