German pharmaceutical company in the Voronezh region

German producer of phytotherapeutic drugs, Bionorica SE, plans to build a plant in the Voronezh Region. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.

This statement was made by the Chairman of the Board of Bionorica SE, Michael Popp, during a meeting between the Governor of the Voronezh Region, Alexey Gordeev, and the German Ambassador to Russia, Rüdiger von Fritsch. The meeting took place as part of the Second German-Russian Day of Medium-Sized Businesses in Hamburg.

Approximately 250 German businessmen took part in the event, including the Chairman of the Board of Bionorica SE. "...Professor Popp shared the plans of Bionorica, which involve the implementation of an investment project to build a pharmaceutical enterprise in our region," reports the press service of the Voronezh Region government.

Entrepreneurs from other countries have similar intentions. In particular, at the end of September this year, Iranian Minister of Health Hassan Hashemi and Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Sergey Tsyb signed 15 cooperation agreements in the field of healthcare. Specifically, Iran plans to launch production of the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) for the multiple sclerosis drug Fingolimod at the facilities of the St. Petersburg company Pharmasyntez.
