Pharmaceutical companies of the region discussed the prospects for the development of the industry in the Kirov region

Today, representatives from science, business, and government met to discuss the prospects for the development of the biopharmaceutical industry in the Kirov region. The event was organized by the pharmaceutical company JSC "AVVA RUS" in collaboration with the Vyatka Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During the roundtable meeting, participants discussed key issues, including the development of sector companies, cooperation between enterprises and government bodies, federal structures, and universities. They also shared experiences in matters related to pharmaceutical production and the subsequent release of drugs to the market.

"Interest in the pharmaceutical industry is growing in Kirov. Companies that have been operating for a considerable time are improving their technologies, while at the same time, new players are emerging on the market. We are very pleased that we have the opportunity to meet on discussion platforms to exchange opinions. This is necessary for the growth and development of the industry," said Olga Sergeevna Gordienko, Director of the Kirov Branch of JSC "AVVA RUS".

The round table was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Energy of the Kirov Region, Vyatka State University, JSC "AVVA RUS", LLC "NANOLEK", and JSC "Kirov Pharmaceutical Factory". Among the speakers were: Head of the Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Energy of the Kirov Region Artem Alekseevich Nopin, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Sergey Gennadievich Litvinets, General Director of LLC "NANOLEK" Mikhail Sergeevich Nekrasov, Head of the Legal Department of JSC "AVVA RUS" Irina Viktorovna Kochurina, and Head of the MC Development Department Artemiy Aleksandrovich Sergeev.

The invited guest was Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases at the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov, Deputy Director for Clinical Work of the clinic, and a top-category otorhinolaryngologist Galina Nikolaevna Nikiforova. The round table was moderated by Vice President of the Vyatka Chamber of Commerce and Industry Andrey Usenko.

"We see interest from the Government of the Russian Federation in the pharmaceutical industry; it is undoubtedly promising for investments. The Vyatka land has potential for the development of pharmaceuticals: the city is home to major enterprises such as JSC 'AVVA RUS', LLC 'NANOLEK', JSC 'Kirov Pharmaceutical Factory', and others; the region has modern laboratories that interact not only with Russian companies but also with international ones," noted Artem Alekseevich Nopin, Head of the Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Energy of the Kirov Region.

The round table participants agreed that now is the most favorable time for the development of a biotechnological cluster. They emphasized that the pharmaceutical industry is in urgent need of state support, not only financially but also at the legislative level.

"Biopharmaceuticals should be the industry that favorably distinguishes our region from others. It is based on the training of professional personnel, the development of a scientific base, and cooperation with leading pharmaceutical enterprises in the region," said Sergey Gennadievich Litvinets, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of Vyatka State University.

The meeting participants agreed to continue the dialogue on a number of issues, as the topics raised at the round table require a systematic approach and solutions.
