Gastroenterology week in Kazakhstan

In early October, the international congress "Central Asian Gastroenterology Week 2015" was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan (organized by: the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Research Institute of Cardiology and Internal Diseases, and the Kazakh Association for the Study of the Liver).

The program included plenary sessions, scientific symposia, a postgraduate course, congress master classes, as well as an educational course by the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) on the diagnosis and treatment of liver, intestinal, and biliary tract diseases.

"AVVA Kazakhstan" was represented by a scientific report from M.Z. Zakhidova, MD, PhD, Professor, Head of the Department of General Practitioner Training at the Tashkent Institute for Doctors' Advanced Training, titled "Gut Dysbiosis as a Risk Factor for the Development of Metabolic Liver Diseases."

A company booth was set up at the pharmaceutical exhibition, where doctors could obtain information about the drugs – Ursoliv, Micrazim, Eco-Antibiotics, and others. The congress materials included the abstract of Professor Zakhidova M.Z.'s report and promotional modules for the drugs Ursoliv and Micrazim.
